Privacy policy

OffDays is made by Roman Grynko, an independent developer. This policy explains in plain words what happens to your data. Short version: your data stays on your phone. We do not have a server, we do not have your account, and we cannot see anything you enter.

What the app stores

Your shift patterns, shifts, notes, leave days, pay rules, hours and the settings you choose.

Photos of your rota, if you attach them to a day.

Your partner's rota, if you scan their QR code.

All of this is stored only in the app's private storage on your device.

What leaves your phone

Purchases. If you buy Pro, the payment is handled by Google Play. Google processes it under the Google Privacy Policy. We receive only the confirmation that Pro is active, not your name or payment details.

Google Play services. The app may ask Google Play to show the rating dialog or to offer an update. Google handles this under its own policy.

Things you choose to send. A PDF report, a CSV or calendar file, a backup file or a QR code leaves the phone only when you share, save or print it yourself, to the place you pick.

Phone calendar. If you turn on "Show shifts in phone calendar", the app writes your shifts to a local calendar on your phone. If your calendar app syncs with an online account, that account will receive these events.

Android backup. If Android backup is turned on in your phone settings, the system may include app data in your device backup to your Google account. It is encrypted by Google and we cannot read it.

What we do not collect

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no location, no contacts, no account, no sign-in.

We do not sell or share data, because we do not receive any.

Permissions and why

Notifications — reminders about shifts, pay and long weekends.

Alarms and reminders — so the alarm rings exactly on time.

Full-screen alarm — to show the alarm over the lock screen.

Do Not Disturb access — only for Quiet sleep after a night shift.

Camera — only while you scan a partner's QR code. The image is processed on the phone and is not saved.

Calendar — only if you turn on showing shifts in the phone calendar.

Start at boot — to set your alarms again after the phone restarts.

Vibration — for the gentle click when you press keys.

Your control

Export my data: More → Backup and export gives you a file with everything you entered.

Delete everything: More → Privacy → Delete all data, or uninstall the app. Since we hold no copy, nothing remains with us.

You can turn off any permission in Android settings at any time.

Children

OffDays is made for working adults and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. Important changes will also be mentioned in the app's "What's new".
